Led backend development of an internal LLM-powered clinical trial protocol tool, enabling automated extraction of data from clinical trial PDFs and generation of protocol components from structured trial inputs. Worked extensively with Python, AWS, and LLM APIs, building document-processing pipelines and backend services to support scalable clinical workflows.
Conducted research under Professor Xiangyao Yu on GPU-acceleration for the DuckDB database system, leveraging CUDA programming to optimize query processing and data management. Benchmarked the database to identify bottlenecks and performance issues, demonstrating significant speedup in high-concurrency workloads. Developed parallel algorithms for database operations such as sorting, joins, and aggregation, achieving up to 150% improvement in processing speed.
Led instruction in Python-based Machine Learning and advanced Java for a clientele who collectively spent over $75,000, strengthening leadership and communication while expanding technical depth.
